My family in Alaska is large, and when we get the relatives from the lower states to join us, we can certainly fill a room! This is my mother and father, my older sister Lynn and her family, my younger sister Shannyn and her family, my brother Curt minus his wife, my cousin Mary and her family, my Aunt Georgia and Aunt Jill, then there is us and our kids. These are the people that make the cold winter months enjoyable in Alaska. Summer is great too! July 2009

Bringing in the New Year!

We had our baby cups ready (shot glasses) and found the channel with the ball dropping just in time with 10 minutes left to spare. Up until that time the boys were playing the Wii, lol!

You should have seen Joey, the first time he was up and understanding what we were doing. He was bouncing all around, jumping up and down when the ball was slowly going down. He even counted down with us and shouted HAPPY NEW YEAR! Of course, soon after, we called to wish Uncle Curty Happy Birthday and then ran outside to watch the fireworks from the deck in my room. We didn't expect that, just heard them going off and made a run for it to see if we could spot any.

No cider, no cheese and crackers, no veggie and fruit trays...just us and some "koolaid" and a Wii. Even so, it was a good night and they all went to bed happy.
